Evolution C182 is a unique individual to say the least. What he brings to the table in terms of flexibility has been, up until this point,
unavailable to the commercial cattleman.
His mother is in the top 1% of the pure bred Angus population for B3 Index with a +2.6 for ImF% and a +4.5 EmA coupled with positive rib and rump fat EBV’s makes her one of the breeds high value donors, KO recently purchased her for $12000.00, Kennys Creek purchased her dam, T42, for $10,000.00, Banquet Angus purchased her dam J031 for $10,000.00, and she is still producing at 19 years of age. His sire, Star, is sired by Black Simmental legend Dream On and out of one of the breeds great Power Drive 88H cows. On tour in the US it has become very apparent if you want to go to the top you must have Power Drive 88H in your pedigrees. Star is a -0.9 Birth weight and a +13.0 calving ease bull placing him firmly in the top 1% of the Black Simmental population for both traits, at +0.14 for rib eye he is in the top 5%. With the combination of Future Direction and Star in a pedigree Evolution C182 combines two breed giants for calving ease and high carcass merit. C182 gives you the ability to calve heifers and still get a HYBRID Vigour advantage, he has been used by us on 30 heifers for seven weeks and nailed them down tight. Dad says, “He’d get a coil of barded wire in calf”!
There will be heaver bulls and more powerful bulls in the sale but, none that offer the combination effect of Evolution. He could be the best bull we have ever raised. He is sound, free moving and has a beautiful silky soft skin and hair, in a very moderate complete package.
